QUESTION

ANSWER

What is your approach?

My approach is relaxed, connection-driven, and rooted in storytelling. I gently guide my clients so they never feel stiff or unsure, but I also leave space for real moments to unfold naturally.
I’m drawn to genuine connection, beautiful natural light, and the quiet in-between moments that make photographs feel alive. The goal is always the same: images that feel natural, timeless, and true to you.

What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?

Most of my clients say this before their session — and then leave saying it was much easier than they expected.
I gently guide you throughout the session so you never feel unsure about what to do. Instead of stiff posing, I use simple prompts and natural direction that help you interact with each other and relax into the moment.
The result is photographs that feel effortless, genuine, and full of real connection.

What if my kids are going crazy or crying the whole time?

Honestly, that’s completely normal — and it doesn’t worry me at all. I’m a mother of three myself, so very little surprises me.
Children don’t need to be perfectly behaved for beautiful photographs. In fact, some of the most meaningful moments happen when kids are simply being themselves.
My job is to create a relaxed environment where your family can interact naturally while I gently guide the session. The only thing I ask is that you let your kids be kids — the magic often happens right there.

Are we allowed to bring our dog to the session?

Yes — I love when families bring their dogs! I’m a huge animal lover and pets are always welcome.
The only thing we’ll need to consider is the location, as some parks and trails don’t allow dogs. Fortunately, I know many beautiful dog-friendly locations in the area and I’m happy to help choose the perfect spot.

How long have you been a photographer?

Photography has been part of my life since 2008, when I first picked up a camera to document my own family. What began as a personal way to capture everyday moments slowly grew into something much deeper.
In 2018, I officially launched my photography business and began working with clients. Since then, I’ve had the honor of photographing families, couples, newborns, and milestones all across Southern California.
Over the years my style has evolved, but my heart behind the work has stayed the same: creating timeless photographs that preserve connection, emotion, and the beauty of real life.

Where are you based? Do you travel?

I’m based in Calabasas, California and photograph families throughout Malibu, Los Angeles, and Southern California.
Because Southern California is such a beautiful destination, many families book sessions while visiting the area. From beaches and mountain overlooks to quiet nature trails, there are incredible locations to photograph here.
While most of my work takes place locally, I’m always open to travel when it’s the right fit.

How many images do you include?

The number of images included depends on the type of session.
Family, maternity, couples, and newborn sessions include 35 carefully edited high-resolution images. Portrait and headshot sessions typically include 10–20 images, depending on the package selected.
Each image is thoughtfully edited and delivered in a private online gallery where you can download your files and order prints. Additional images are always available if you’d like to expand your gallery.

Do you edit all of the images?

Yes. Every image you receive is carefully hand-edited to ensure natural skin tones, balanced color, and a timeless look that reflects my signature style.
Your final images are delivered in high resolution with printing rights so you can download, share, and print them as you wish.

Do you prefer flash photography or natural light?

I primarily work with natural light because it creates the soft, luminous feeling that defines my style.
That said, I’m always working with the available light in a thoughtful way. When needed, I use subtle flash techniques to enhance the scene while keeping the final image natural and timeless.

Will you Photoshop us?

My goal is always to keep people looking natural and like themselves. I believe the most meaningful photographs are the ones that feel authentic and timeless.
Each image is carefully edited for color, light, and overall polish. I also remove temporary distractions such as blemishes, bruises, or small imperfections. However, I don’t alter body shapes or heavily retouch in ways that change how someone truly looks.
The goal is simple: photographs that feel beautiful, natural, and true to you.

What is your turnaround time?

Your proofing gallery is typically ready within 3 days of your session.
From there, you’ll select your favorite images for final retouching. Once selections are made, your finished gallery is delivered within about 3 days.
The faster you make your selections, the faster your final images arrive!

What should we wear?

Once you book, I’ll send my full session guide with detailed wardrobe tips to help you plan your outfits.
A few simple guidelines: mom chooses her outfit first and everyone coordinates around her, avoid overly matching outfits, and stick with earthy, natural tones that photograph beautifully in any setting. I also recommend avoiding neon colors and keeping phones out of pockets during the session.

How do we book you?

Simply head over to the contact page and fill out the form. From there, I’ll send you my session guide and all the details to help you plan your session.
If we decide we’re a great fit, I’ll send over a contract and invoice. A 50% retainer and signed contract officially reserve your date, with the remaining balance due when your gallery is ready.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Payments are processed securely through Shopify, which offers flexible payment options including installments through Shop Pay.

This allows many clients to split their purchase into smaller payments while still receiving their gallery right away.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the weather isn’t ideal, we will simply reschedule. I always keep an eye on the forecast and will reach out if we need to adjust the timing or move to a new date.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions can take place outdoors, in your home, or in a studio depending on the type of session and the look you’re hoping for. I photograph many families in beautiful outdoor locations around Malibu and the surrounding areas, but I also love documenting quiet moments at home for newborn and lifestyle sessions. If a studio setting is the best fit, I’m happy to arrange a studio space as well.

My Why

In a deeply personal way, photography helps me experience my family — and the world around me — more fully. Even as a child, I remember feeling the quiet ache of time passing, and that feeling only grew stronger when I became a mother.
When I discovered photography, it felt as if the heavens opened. I realized that a photograph, created with a careful eye for light and meaning, allows a moment to live on long after it has passed.
A photograph has the power to push back against time’s constant movement. It holds onto childhood even as children grow, and preserves the fleeting seasons of life that slip by so quickly.
That is the root of my why — and the driving force behind my work.
It is an incredible honor to preserve moments in history for my clients and for the generations of their families who will one day look back at these images.
Our lives are short, and the moments that shape them are fleeting. Capturing them honestly and beautifully is something I will never take lightly.
