My standard family sessions are offered at a straightforward, all-inclusive flat rate. Following our evening together, you will receive full access to a digital proofing gallery to personally select your absolute favorite 35 high-resolution images, complete with full print rights. There are no mandatory print minimums, no surprises, and absolutely zero hidden costs—just timeless, beautiful artwork of the people you love most. If you want to purchase additional images beyond your included 35, you always have that option.

When is the best time of day to schedule our beach family photoshoot?
All outdoor family sessions are intentionally scheduled during the golden hour, starting roughly one hour before sunset. This ensures your portraits feature the soft, warm, and cinematic lighting that Malibu beaches and Calabasas hills are famous for, while avoiding harsh afternoon shadows and squinting eyes.
What happens if my toddler or children are uncooperative during the shoot?
Please do not worry or stress for a single second! As a mother and an experienced family photographer, I completely expect kids to be full of energy, silly, or shy. My shooting style is entirely play-based and active. If a toddler doesn’t want to sit still, we will have them run, play a game, or hunt for seashells. The best, most authentic photos always happen when children are allowed to just be themselves.
What should our family wear for outdoor coastal or canyon portraits?
I always recommend choosing a cohesive color palette rather than wearing perfectly matching outfits. Neutral earth tones, soft pastels, creams, and textured fabrics like linen or knits photograph beautifully against beach sands and canyon backdrops. Are immediate family members included in the flat rate package?
Yes, absolutely. My standard flat-rate family package is completely all-inclusive for your immediate family—including parents and all siblings. We will focus on capturing a beautiful mix of the whole group together, individual breakdowns of the kids, sibling interactions, and timeless portraits of just mom and dad together.
