While I am a Malibu newborn lifestyle photographer at heart, I travel directly to families all across the region. I frequently document these fleeting milestones for clients throughout Calabasas, Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Woodland Hills, and West Hills, ensuring you never have to pack up a diaper bag or leave your sanctuary during those tender first weeks.

Malibu Newborn Lifestyle Photography FAQ

When is the best time to schedule an in-home lifestyle newborn session?
Because lifestyle photography focuses on natural family connection rather than rigid, sleepy studio posing, we have much more flexibility. While the ideal window is typically within the first 5 to 14 days after birth, lifestyle sessions look absolutely beautiful anytime within your baby’s first month.

What happens if my baby gets fussy or needs to nurse during the shoot?
Babies run the show, and that is completely expected. My in-home sessions are entirely baby-led, free-flowing, and relaxed. We build plenty of buffer time into the session so you can stop to feed, change, burp, or soothe your little one whenever needed. There is absolutely no rush or stress.

Do I need to have a perfectly clean, picture-perfect house for the session?
Not at all. Please do not stress about cleaning up clutter or laundry after just having a baby. When I arrive at your home in Calabasas, Agoura Hills, or Malibu, I will quickly scout out 1 or 2 rooms with the best natural window light (usually the nursery or master bedroom) and gently clear a small, clean space for us to work in.

Can parents and older siblings be included in the newborn portraits?
Absolutely. In fact, immediate family connection is the entire heartbeat of lifestyle photography. My flat-rate newborn package is completely all-inclusive, meaning your partner, older children, and even the family pet are always welcome to join the session at no additional charge.
